I am an Integrative Arts Psychotherapist based in London, offering counselling and psychotherapy for groups and individuals.
As an integrative psychotherapist, I draw on a range of approaches and resources. It is my hope that through engaging with therapy you can achieve a sense of calm through understanding yourself better, feeling more fulfilled and making the most of your life.
Please contact me if you would like any more information or to book a consultation.
During the Covid-19 crisis when face to face sessions are not possible, I offer online arts psychotherapy by Zoom and counselling over the phone.
Life can present with many challenges that are difficult to process. I offer a safe space in which to share difficulties, creatively explore feelings and find a path forward.
I am passionate in integrating the use of the creative arts and imagination as a way to express and hold thoughts and feelings. Sessions could involve painting, drawing, movement, music and writing. Some clients have experience with the arts while others are new to the idea of creative expression. Where ever you are with your own creative process is perfect.
I graduated in Integrative Arts Psychotherapy from the Institute of Arts in Therapy and Education. My training has given me a rigorous psychotherapeutic grounding in arts psychotherapy from which I integrate approaches such as Gestalt, Psychodynamic, neuroscience and Transactional Analysis.
I have experience helping clients with:
loss of confidence
confusion about which direction to go in life
complex needs / personality disorders
trauma and abuse
I come from a performing arts background as a musician and workshop leader in many schools and outreach programmes in South London. Witnessing the power of the arts to transform the mental health of students and vulnerable people in these settings has instructed my approach and commitment as an Integrative Arts Psychotherapist.
My career has included working in an NHS complex needs service providing art psychotherapy for those with personality disorders, individual and group art and music therapy for an addictions hospital and pre-dementia programme in South India and currently for a counselling service for clients suffering from alcohol addiction in an NHS affiliated charity in Central London.
I am a registered member of:
HCPC (The Health and Care Professions Council)
BAAT (British Association of Art Therapists)
IATE (The Institute for Arts in Therapy and Education)
BAPAM (British Association for Performing Arts Medicine)
I have completed training (accredited by BACP) to be able to offer therapy online.
More details of my practice, including fee structure, is included on my counselling directory page:
